Accessibility Statement
Tribunal OS is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Last updated: January 10, 2026
Tribunal OS recognizes the importance of accessibility in the pursuit of justice. Our platform serves war crimes investigators, prosecutors, and researchers worldwide, many of whom may have disabilities. We believe that access to justice tools should not be limited by physical, sensory, or cognitive differences.
We are committed to conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.
Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following principles:
- Perceivable: Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.
- Operable: User interface components and navigation must be operable by all users.
- Understandable: Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable.
- Robust: Content must be robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.
Accessibility Features
We have implemented numerous features to ensure our platform is accessible to all users.
Full keyboard accessibility for all interactive elements. Use Tab to navigate, Enter to activate, and Escape to close dialogs.
Optimized for NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. All images have descriptive alt text, and ARIA labels are used throughout.
Content adapts to all screen sizes and orientations. Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality.
Clear visual focus indicators on all interactive elements. Focus order follows logical reading sequence.
Clear language, consistent navigation, and predictable interactions. Error messages provide specific guidance.
Large click targets, adequate spacing between elements, and no time-dependent interactions required.

Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some limitations may exist. We are actively working to address these.
Third-Party Content
Some third-party content embedded in our platform (such as external video players or document viewers) may not fully conform to accessibility standards. We work with vendors to improve accessibility and provide alternative access methods where possible.
Complex Data Visualizations
Some complex charts and visualizations may be challenging to interpret with screen readers. We provide data tables as alternatives and are implementing enhanced descriptions for all visualizations.
PDF Documents
Some older PDF documents in our resources section may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these documents and provide accessible alternatives upon request.
